With more than 60 boutiques and restaurants, plus the landmark Village Theater, there are plenty of things to do to keep your bridal party laughing and elebrating well through the weekend.Kick off Saturday morning with a leisurely brunch at international favorite Bistro 31. When your blow out and nails have been perfected, mosey next door and check out the bridal section next door at Carolina Herrera. Already have the dresses crossed off your list? Peek insideour other fabulous shops for adorable items for the closet and home. When you’ve shopped until you’reready to drop, rest your feet in a booth at Mi Cocina and enjoy Mambo Taxis and fajitas with the girls, or catch a flick at the Village Theater. Once your movie lets out, enjoy drinks and sushi on the balcony next door at Toko V and take in the spectacular view of the Highland Park Village holiday lights. It will be a weekend you’re sure to remember!
Young philanthropist and Park Cities resident Stella Wrubel is corralling her elves to ensure the Christmas season is merry and bright. Last December, Stella, an eight-year-old at Lamplighter, sold bundles of mistletoe to raise money for victims of Hurricane Sandy after she worried about her godfather’s safety.
This year Stella will be back again, but this time proceeds will benefit children who were affected by the tornadoes in Moore, Oklahoma. Stella will set up shop in front of Five & Ten on Sundays in December and sell fresh bundles collected from her family farm. Highland Park Village is proud to support a young, budding philanthropist as she works toward her goal of raising $10,000!
