Highland Park Village Fall 2015 Magazine

Highland Park Village fall 2015 magazine

Highland Park Village is pleased to announce the launch of our fall 2015 magazine. One of our most beautiful style shoots yet was photographed at Greystone Court. Greystone Court is one of the last surviving privately-owned “Treasure Houses” in America. It is situated 17 miles north of Manhattan on nearly an acre of land overlooking the Hudson River. Assembled from architectural artifacts and entire 16th-18th century European rooms, Greystone Court houses handcarved wood paneling, coffered ceilings, and stained glass from chateaux and manor houses around the world, as well as glass and lighting from the New York City studio of Louis Comfort Tiffany and John La Farge. It offered a breathtaking Gothic inspired backdrop with rich history that complemented standout pieces from fall 2015 collections. Models Caroline Brasch Nielsen and Jamie Strachan present some of the incredible pieces we offer at Highland Park Village this autumn.

Learn more about the shoot and take a peek behind the scenes with us.

“My Women’s Collection for Spring 2016 is a modern expression of the glamorous spirit of the French Riviera. It has a romantic rusticity, as well as a sleek and luxurious sportiness that represents to me both the cool insouciance and understated style of the women who inspire me.” - Ralph Lauren.

Classically beautiful, Ralph Lauren’s sleek and sporty spring summer 2016 collection is fresh and luxurious. Nautically inspired, yet still glamorous - this collection was centered on life on and by the sea. Key trends included wide legged trousers and classically tailored silhouettes. Here are a few key looks.

Fringe, metallic, and flair were key trends at the Tory Burch Spring Summer 2016 presentation. The “strangling” trees at Angkor Wat, the 12th Century temple complex in Cambodia inspired Tory Burch’s latest collection. Light and airy tweed was a key part of her collection as well. And, of course, her signature mix of ethnic and preppy was still prevalent with blue and white stripes and classic tunics.

Lela Rose Spring Summer 2016

Lela Rose 1

The Lela Rose Spring 2016 collection is painted in tonal colors, stamped with metallics, and has magnified floral prints that modernize silk gazar. Florescent corded lace, neon hued tweed, and beading created with the glow of bright thread enliven the palette of coral, shell, and citrine. There is a softness and ease to the silhouette which is highlighted with an alyssum fil coupe as well as a rose gold stamped poplin. Here are a few of our favorite looks.

Carolina Herrera Spring Summer 2016

“I’m in my rose period,” Carolina Herrera told Vogue.  Herrera presented her Spring Summer 2016 collection at a rose-themed show staged at the Frick Collection on the Upper East Side. The Frick Collection has never before opened its doors for a fashion show - this was its first.  This collection represents “tranquility, not stillness but calm elegance – where transparency and illusion evoke sensuality.”  It was void of prints as Herrera has done so many in the past. Spring Summer 2016 was all about working modern fabrics into her classic aesthetic. Key trends were shades of rose and modern pleats. Here are a few standout looks.

“Celebrating truth, nature, freedom and beauty, she redefines individuality as she paints her own destiny.” – Diane von Furstenberg

On Sunday, September 13th, Diane von Furstenberg presented her spring summer 2016 collection during New York Fashion Week. This collection was a wild mix of warm colors and bold prints and scattered with fringe and flowers - flirty and beautiful. WWD  editor Bridget Foley writes, “A painting of Fortuna, the Roman goddess of fortune and fate, all bare feet, beauty and butterfly wings, inspired Diane von Furstenberg’s spring collection.” Here are a few of the standout looks.
