A Peek Into the Design of our Goop Pop-Up Shop

If you haven’t had a chance to stop by our Goop Pop Up shop, you must add it to your list! Dallas’ very own interior design maven Michelle Nussbaumer is responsible for the unique and stylish space.  We asked her a few questions about her inspiration for the interior design of the shop at Highland Park Village.

S&S: What was the design process like from start to finish?

MN: I recolored my fabrics to a more ‘Goop’ palette and brought in my Pagoda Daybed to add glamour, as Gwyneth wanted the space to feel like shoppers were in a more intimate home setting.  I added architectural pediments over the doors, white lacquer floors and contemporary artwork and photography to create a more residential feel.   In the kitchen, I did a rustic industrial vibe with 100 year old reclaimed oak and galvanized steel countertops.  I pulled in London-based Andrew Martin’s wallpaper and a concrete table with Texas-made leather chairs all to bring the Goop vibe to life.

S&S: Do you have a favorite aspect of the store?

MN: I love everything in the store!  Especially my ‘Ottoman’ wallpaper and stylized pediments.  The Gracie wallpapers that I designed in a collaboration with Gracie give the space a lot of drama and are a great juxtaposition to the more industrial pieces.

S&S: Did you run into any obstacles with the design that you had to overcome?

MN: When doing a project with a client such as Gwyneth Paltrow, who has such a great and specific view point, its so important to translate that properly.  Everyone is really happy with the result!  I always say the best clients, are the most stylish clients because they just get it.

Must-Haves for Crystal Charity Ball

In anticipation to Crystal Charity Ball on December 6th, we have compiled some must have items for the annual gala. Steal the show in this stunning gown from Carolina Herrera’s Resort 2015 Collection. For your accessories, we recommend you keep them simple. Our suggestions include the Knuckle Box clutch from Alexander McQueen and the black suede sandals from Jimmy Choo. And of course an outfit for Crystal Charity Ball wouldn’t be complete without your statement earrings from Harry Winston.
