The rich forest green of the Wool Fashion Scarf from Alexander McQueen.

Welcome fall 2014 with luxurious navy pieces.  This color pairs well with cool charcoals and sparkling golds. Whether you choose clothing or accessories in lace, rich velvet, leather, or silk - navy is timelessly elegant.  We love the idea of adding a wide brimmed hat into the mix and a classic handbag to carry you through the season.  Though it’s a traditional color, it’s certainly one that will still turn heads (like this Tasha Coat from Tory Burch).

Color Story: Beige

One of our favorite go-to neutrals to transition our summer wardrobes into fall is beige and here’s your proof that it’s far from boring.  Beige accessories paired with a white dress is the essential chic attire for a hot day.  And, with this roundup of some of our favorite pieces at the moment from Highland Park Village, it’s easy to say that this hue has never looked so good. Whether you choose a classic handbag like the Lady Dior in quilted leather or a timeless scarf from Hermès like this one, these are selections that will ease their way into any wardrobe.  For a standout item this season, shop the Saint Laurent Classic Curtis Fringe Jacket or the Frankie Loafers for Stella McCartney.  For a eye-catching touch, we recommend the Leather Skull Card Holder from Alexander McQueen.

Color Story: Yellow

It’s the season for brights and we have our eyes on one color in particular- yellow.  Not only does yellow give most moods and outfits an instant lift, it’s a beautiful color for spring and summer.  It pairs nicely with nudes, grays, navy, and of course, white. Though it can be a tricky color to pull off, it’s bright enough that you can keep your jewelry and other accessories to a minimum. Afraid to take the plunge and wear a full length canary yellow dress?  Incorporate yellow shoes, a scarf, bracelet, or simple clutch or handbag into your attire.

Tom Ford

Are you as excited as we are about the Tom Ford boutique opening here in Highland Park Village? Ever since we first heard of the store’s Dallas debut, we have been stalking the brand’s website for fall inspiration, and we are more than obsessed with what we’ve seen. This statement jacket in particular has us thinking how we can fuse more fuchsia into our wardrobe, and we have been hard at work prowling for ways to incorporate the pink hue into our daily routine.

The bold color is not for the faint of heart, but a pair of shoes or a statement bag is an easy way to don the color without going overboard. Plus, it will make a dreary winter day all the brighter. Here are a few fuchsia items we wouldn’t mind pairing with our neutral staples:
